What I love about teaching writing at Holy Family School:
I love that every night I go to sleep absolutely exhausted and completely fulfilled. I love witnessing my students have their “lightbulb” moments when they just get it. I love being a mentor to children and supporting their gifts. I love that they make me laugh every single day. I love that every class has its own special quirks and personalities.

Why I became a teacher:
I became a teacher because I’m obsessed with reading and writing, and I felt I needed to pass on that obsession to a new generation! Teaching isn’t glamorous work, but it’s important work, and I feel proud of what I do. I also appreciate the sense of community that comes from a Catholic school setting.

Favorite Scripture Verse:
“For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29:11
